The internationally renowned Kips Bay Decorator Show House has been happening yearly since 1973. The event’s original mission was to raise funds that would support after-school enrichment programs for the city’s children. Today the show has grown to be so much more while still staying true to its core. As of 2023, the Kips Bay Decorators Show House takes place in New York, Palm Beach, and Dallas while serving various non-profit children’s organizations, gathering talented industry professionals, and cultivating a space of creativity and celebration for a few selected designers.
This year’s event took place at a sprawling estate in Palm Beach, FL, in a sprawling 8,500 square foot villa complete with eight bedrooms, five bathrooms, and an elevator that brings its guests up to a glamourous 4,500 square foot rooftop entertainment area with a gorgeous outdoor kitchen. At the end of the entire celebration, the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club benefits from the proceeds acquired by the droves of insiders who make it out to see the showcase.
On February 29th, guests had the privilege of hearing moving speeches from the seven local teens competing for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club Youth of The Year awards. One deserving teen will be rewarded a four-year college scholarship with room and board. The teens are selected based on their academic performance, leadership, and activity in the Boys & Girls program.
